I'm writing this to share my experience with IDT Telephone Service and their attempt to double charge me for my telephone
service. This month I recieved my telephone bill with a $50 charge for ISP service. I pay $23.90 a month for my AOL service
and was paying $60 -$65 a month for Unlimited Telephone Service. IDT decided that after offering unlimited telephone service
they weren't getting enough money so they came up with the idea to charge an additional $50 for using their telephone lines
to acess the internet.
When one signs up for "unlimited use" telephone service one doesn't expect the telephone company to charge an additional
fee for using your telephone line to access the internet. They sent no notice of this change in billing or their intent to
start charging a seperate fee for using my service to dial up AOL.
Please BEWARE of IDT Telephone Service and their deceptive billing practices.
I immediately called to voice my objections to this $50 increase in my telephone bill and was granted a one time waiver
of the fee but then called Verison the moment I hung up from IDT and switched my telephone service. If you are and IDT Customer
BEWARE of outragous hidden billing practices!!!
